Ankle sprain is one of the most recurrent musculoskeletal injuries with an incidence of 1/1000, in which the external lateral ligament is one of the most common ligaments to be injured. In its inflammatory phase, treatment with RICE is the most indicated option, while in the other phases, manual therapy can be used. At this point, there is controversy whether immobilization, mobilization or both of them are the best methods.
