CLIL in rural schools: a learning situation for the first cyle of primary education

Abstract

El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster ofrece una visión general del Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lenguas Extranjeras(AICLE) y un análisis de sus principales características. Así, comenzaremos por presentar los antecedentes y la definición de AICLE, además de analizar su relevancia en la etapa de Educación Primaria. En el contexto rural, la implementación de programas bilingües supone un gran cambio ya que permiten establecer conexiones con el entorno y promueve el aprendizaje significativo aportando nuevas perspectivas culturales a lo largo del proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Por último, la propuesta didáctica diseñada en este trabajo fin de máster tendrá como referencia el contexto rural de un colegio de educación primaria y un análisis del proyecto bilingüe de dicho centro para la planificación de la situación de aprendizaje.

This Master’s Dissertation offers an overview of the concept of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) and to analyse its main characteristics. Thus, we will begin by presenting the background and the definition of CLIL) in addition to its relevance in Primary Education. In rural schools, the implementation of bilingual programmes represents a great change since it allows the establishment of connections with the environment promoting meaningful learning and providing new cultural perspectives throughout the teaching and learning process. Finally, the didactic proposal designed in this Master’s Dissertation will have the rural context of a primary school as reference and the analysis of the bilingual project ofsaid school for the planning of the learning situation.
