Cooperativas de crédito en España. Un estudio del sector en España. El caso de la Caja Rural de Jaén

Abstract

[ES] En este trabajo fin de grado se presenta un estudio del sector de las cooperativas de crédito en España. Primeramente, se exponen sus principales distinciones respecto al resto de entidades bancarias, así como su clasificación y composición. En el análisis realizado se puede estudiar el comportamiento que han experimentado en el período 2006-2018 las variables que determinan el volumen de actividad y dimensión operativa. Además, se examina el proceso de integración que ha transformado el sector y la creación de distintos grupos consolidables. Por otro lado, se hace una breve mención al marco regulatorio de las cooperativas de crédito y se explica la función ejercida por la patronal del sector. Para terminar, se elabora un breve análisis de la Caja Rural de Jaén en el que se estudian las variables más destacadas y su evolución en los últimos años.

[EN] In this final degree project, we presented a study of the sector of credit cooperatives in Spain. First, its main distinctions are exposed with respect to the rest of banking entities, as well as their classification and composition. In the analysis carried out, it is possible to study the behavior of the variables that determine the volume of activity and operational dimension during the period 2006-2018. In addition, we examited the integration process that has transformed the sector and the creation of different consolidated groups. On the other hand, we made a brief mention about the regulatory framework of credit cooperatives and explains the role exercised by the association of the sector. Finally, we expose a brief analysis of the Caja Rural de Jaén, in which the most outstanding variables and their evolution in recent years are studied.
