REVISION OF RESEARCH ON MOTIVATION IN CLIL AND NON-CLIL CONTEXTS IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

[ES]Este trabajo revisa una selección de estudios de investigación sobre contextos CLIL y no CLIL en educación Primaria en España.
Un total de 21 estudios han sido seleccionados de una búsqueda de 32 en función del tema de interés, las características y la
metodología de los estudios llevados a cabo en España. Los temas predominantes abarcan factores que están relacionados con
la motivación: diferencias individuales, edad, género, el profesora/la profesora, el uso de recursos tecnológicos, el tipo de
enfoque, las estrategias motivacionales o psicopedagógicas. Una serie considerable de métodos de investigación fueron
incluidos en los estudios revisados, algunos de ellos se centran en escenarios no bilingües mientras que otros lo hacen en
contextos CLIL. Los resultados revelan el aumento del interés de los investigadores en el enfoque CLIL y la motivación en
relación con la nueva realidad educativa en España y la proliferación de los programas bilingües.
[EN]This paper reviews a selection of research studies on motivation in CLIL and non-CLIL contexts in Primary education in Spain. A total of 21 studies have been recognized as representative from a previous search of 32 as regards the topic of interest, the features and the methodology of the studies conducted in Spain. The prevalent topics comprise factors which correlate with motivation in the language classroom: individual differences, age, gender, teacher factor, the use of technological resources, type of approach or motivational and psychopedagogical strategies. A considerable range of research methods were included, some of them consider non-CLIL settings while others focus on CLIL contexts through a three stages selection and data analysis protocol. The findings of this study reveal the increasing interest of researchers in the field of CLIL and motivation in consonance with the new reality of education in Spain and the proliferation of CLIL programmes.
