La distribución de la renta: de un fallo de mercado a un termómetro de bienestar económico de la sociedad

Abstract

[ES] El artículo 9 de nuestra Carta Magna consagra la igualdad entre todos los españoles y establece la obligatoriedad de los poderes públicos a remover los obstáculos que dificulten su cumplimiento. Lamentablemente la realidad es distinta. Es cierto que todos somos personas y titulares de derechos fundamentales, pero cada individuo al mismo tiempo es diferente. No todas las personas tienen las mismas oportunidades de acceder a los recursos, ya que a menudo observamos que la riqueza no se distribuye de manera equitativa en el territorio, lo que provoca desigualdades. Este estudio pretende estudiar las causas que generan dicha desigualdad, sus consecuencias, los objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible que se plantean para erradicarla así como las posibles soluciones: la intervención del Estado mediante políticas públicas y una Educación de calidad que proporcione conocimientos económicos básicos que permitan satisfacer necesidades y encarar los retos de la sociedad actual.

[EN] According to Article 9 of our Magna Carta there must be equality among Spanish citizens and it also establishes the obligation of public powers to remove any obstacles that may hinder its fulfillment. Unfortunately, the reality is different. It is true that we are all people and holders of fundamental rights, but each individual is different at the same time. Not everyone have the same opportunity to access resources. As we can observe there is no equality in the distribution of wealth among the territory which leads to several disparities. This study aims to study what are the causes of this inequality and, its consequences. As well as, the Sustainable Development Goals that are proposed to eradicate it, and its possible solutions: State intervention through public policies and quality education which provides basic economic knowledge that allows satisfying needs and face the challenges of today's society.
