Principios de genética y aplicaciones. Propuesta didáctica para 4º curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria

En este Trabajo de Fin de Máster se ha diseñado una propuesta didáctica dedicada a la enseñanza-aprendizaje de contenidos relacionados con la Genética, debido a la importancia e implicaciones que ésta tiene en la actualidad. Esta propuesta, llamada “Principios de Genética y aplicaciones: herencia genética, Ingeniería Genética y Biotecnología”, se ha desarrollado en el contexto de 4º curso de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria. Para su diseño, previamente se ha establecido una fundamentación teórica, donde a través de una búsqueda bibliográfica, se ha realizado el desarrollo conceptual de estos contenidos y la descripción de una serie aspectos pedagógicos, cuya aplicación se recomienda para mejorar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. De esta manera, y utilizando la metodología constructivista, se han incorporado algunas técnicas, como el tratamiento de las controversias socio-científicas, que permitan a los estudiantes adquirir las competencias y los conocimientos, así como superar los objetivos propuestos según la legislación vigente.
Genetics is a branch of science, which plays an important role nowadays due to its great development during last years. Due to the high number of implications that its application entails, in this project a didactic proposal related to Genetics has been designed. This proposal, called “Principles of Genetics and applications: genetic heritance, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology”, has been developed to high school students. First a theoretical foundation has been established through a bibliographic research. Thanks to this research, some concepts have been described and a series of pedagogical aspects has been found in order to improve the teaching-learning process. In this way, using the constructivist methodology, some methods have been incorporated, such as the treatment of socio-scientific controversies. These methods allow students to acquire some skills and knowledge, as well as overcome some objectives that are proposed in the currentlegislation.
