As part of the final dissertation for the Master’s Degree in Teaching, this project presents an innovative way of teaching in the foreign language teaching (FLT) in Secondary Education. This innovation makes reference to the use of advertising language in order to teach English in secondary schools in Spain. In order to achieve this, the advertising discourse must be explained briefly to the students. Furthermore, some rhetorical devices will be introduced as well. These ones are personification, comparison, pun and rhyme. Pictorial metaphors will also be discussed throughout this project. Besides, we cannot forget about the technological resources that also play a significant role in this dissertation. Finally, it is worth noting the use of the flipped classroom (FC) throughout several sessions.
