Breastfeeding is the natural form of food and ideal for healthy growth and development. Because of its multiple benefits to both the baby and the mother, the World Health Organization exclusively recommends it until the baby is 6 months old and breastfeeding is maintained until the age of two or more. Despite these recommendations, only one third of infants receive exclusive breastfeeding during the first 6 months of life. In order to achieve the recommended figures, it is essential that mothers and fathers are properly informed and supported by both health personnel and their families. For this reason we believe that it is necessary to carry out this Health Education Program directed to the Promotion of Breastfeeding.
