At present, alternative and conventional therapies are on the rise. In our country, more than 23% of the population has used them at some time, with yoga being the most practiced. It consists of combining physical postures, breathing and meditation to achieve balance between body and mind. Pregnancy is a stage of important biological, social and psychological changes in a woman's life. Performing yoga is positive at any stage of life, but it can be especially beneficial during pregnancy. The objective of this study is to analyze the available information about the benefits of yoga in pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. For this, a bibliographic search has been carried out in databases, in which 22 documents have been selected. Although more research is needed, articles have been found that highlight the effectiveness of yoga regarding mental health and pain in pregnant women, the benefits in childbirth and in the baby, as well as the reduction of complications in pregnancy among other benefits.
