Resumen
Esta revisión teórica se centra en la última etapa de la vida, específicamente en el apoyo social y en las relaciones sexuales y amorosas que se producen a esta edad. Numerosos estudios constatan la importancia que estos factores tienen sobre la salud tanto física como psicológica de las personas mayores. Los estudios revisados ponen de manifiesto que existen muchos prejuicios acerca de la vejez y de las relaciones amorosas que se producen en esta etapa, demostrándose que son erróneos. También se ha encontrado la importancia que tiene el apoyo de la familia y de los centros de mayores en la vejez y como afectan positivamente en ellos.
This theoretical review focuses on the last stage of life, specifically the perceived social support and sexual and loving relationships that occur at this age. Numerous studies confirm the importance of these factors on the physical and psychological health of older people. Studies show that there are many prejudices about old age and love relationships that occur at this stage, showing that are erroneous. We have also found the importance of support from family and senior centers in old age and how they affect them positively.
