CLIL and multiple intelligences in the classroom

(ES)A lo largo de los años, el éxito de los estudiantes se medía por sus habilidades lingüísticas y matemáticas. Sin embargo, no fue hasta que Howard Gardner publicó su libro “Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences” en 1983 que demostró que existían ocho tipos de inteligencia. Con la implementación de la Teoría de las Inteligencias Múltiples en la clase, los estudiantes pueden acceder al conocimiento de diferentes maneras, eligiendo aquella con la que se sienten más cómodos. Aunque hay mucha información acerca de la Teoría de las Inteligencias Múltiples en el aula, son pocos los estudios realizados en escuelas bilingües. Por ello, el objetivo de este estudio es comprobar si el enfoque AICLE (Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lenguas Extranjeras) es compatible con la Teoría de las Inteligencias Múltiples en las clases de primaria.

(EN)Over the years, student success was measured by their language and math skills. However, it was not until Howard Gardner published his book Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences (1983) that demonstrated there were eight types of intelligence. With the implementation of Multiple Intelligence Theory (MIT) in the class, students can access the knowledge in different ways, choosing the one they feel more comfortable with. Although there are a lot of research related to Multiple Intelligence Theory in the class, there are just a few focused on bilingual schools. Therefore, the aim of this study is to check if CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) approach is compatible with the Theory of Multiple Intelligences in the Primary class.
