Resumen
Este Trabajo Fin de Grado está enfocado en la mutilación genital femenina (MGF) como práctica lesiva, la cual puede recibir otros nombres como ablación del clítoris o circuncisión femenina, que atenta contra los derechos humanos de las mujeres y niñas. Se lleva a cabo en más de 25 países africanos pero está presente en todos los continentes. Se analizará la situación de la MGF en España, ya que, debido a los procesos migratorios, es una práctica que se sigue realizando aun siendo éste un país donde no es habitual su ejecución. Desde la perspectiva de género y feminista, la MGF está directamente relacionada con la violencia de género, siendo un claro ejemplo de desigualdad entre mujeres y hombres. Por último, desde el ámbito del Trabajo Social se trabaja para prevenir que la MGF se lleve a cabo a través de diferentes intervenciones.
The present senior thesis is focused on female genital mutilation (FGM) as a harmful practice, in which it can be given other names such as female clitoris or circumcision, which threatens the human rights of women and girls who are it gives them. This practice is carried out in more than 25 African countries but is present on all continents.
