¿Cómo afrontan los problemas las personas que se sienten socialmente excluidas?

Resumen
La influencia que puede llegar a tener el fenómeno de exclusión social sobre el
bienestar y la integridad psicológica de las personas es un tema poco conocido. Por ello, el
objetivo principal de nuestro estudio ha sido conocer la relación existente entre percibirse en
situación de exclusión social y las estrategias que se utilizan para afrontar los problemas en
dicha situación. Utilizamos una muestra formada por 294 participantes españoles de los
cuales 137 eran hombres y 157 mujeres, todos ellos con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 60
años. Los resultados indican que personas con percepción alta de exclusión utilizan más el
manejo inadecuado de emociones que las personas con baja percepción. También
encontramos diferencias en cuanto al género y la edad de las personas.
The influence that the social exclusion phenomenon can have about welfare and phychological integrity of people is a little unknown topic. For this reason, the main objetive of our study is to understand the relationship between being in a situation of social exclusion and the strategies used to solve the diferents problems in this situation. A sample of 294 spanish participants were included in this study. 137 of them were men and the rest were women. All participants had between 18 and 60 years old. the results show that people with high perception of exclusion use the improper handling of emotions more that people with low perception of exclusion. we also found diferences in the gender and age of people.
