En el siguiente trabajo se van a plantear, tanto aspectos relacionados con la enfermedad del Alzheimer, como investigaciones recientes sobre biomarcadores olfativos que podrían ayudar tanto a la detección precoz, como a la prevención de que se desarrolle dicha enfermedad, ya que como veremos a lo largo de este trabajo, en el Alzheimer (A) el déficit olfatorio está presente mucho antes de que aparezcan las alteraciones neurológicas típicas de cada caso y el deterioro cerebral sea evidente. Esto ayudaría a mejorar tanto la calidad de vida de pacientes que cursan dicha enfermedad, como la de sus familiares
In this work will address everything that refers to Alzheimer's disease and recent research on olfactory biomarkers that could help both early detection and prevention in the development of this disease, since as we will see throughout this document, in Alzheimer's (A) the olfactory deficit is present long before the neurological alterations typical of each case appear and the cerebral deterioration is evident. This early detection would help to improve both the quality of life of patients with this disease, as well as that of their relatives.
