Resumen
En este trabajo se realiza una revisión bibliográfica acerca de los factores de
riesgo y de protección de la depresión infantil, dado que la frecuencia de esta patología está
aumentando en los últimos años. En un principio se tratará su historia, definición, relevancia,
posibles causas y consecuencias. Una vez contextualizado el término, se describirá cuáles son
los factores de riesgo y de protección individuales y ambientales. Dentro de los individuales
hay tres tipos: biológicos, psicológicos y demográficos, y dentro de los ambientales se van a
tratar factores familiares y escolares. Por último se va a describir un programa de prevención,
el programa Fortius.
This work presents a bibliographical review about risk factors and protection of childhood depression, since the frequency of this disease is increasing in recent years. Initially, its history, definition, relevance, possible causes and consequences will be treated. When the term is contextualized, the risk factors and individual and environmental protection will be described. Within the individual factors, there are three types: biological, demographic and psychological factors and within the environmental ones, we can appreciate familiar and scholar factors. Finally, a prevention program, known as ‘Programa Fortius (fortius program),’ will be also described.
