Incertidumbre en la enfermedad oncohematológica. A propósito de un caso clínico

Abstract

[ES] El linfoma de Hodgkin es un tipo de cáncer que afecta al sistema linfático. Las personas que lo sufren se enfrentan a tratamientos agresivos como la quimioterapia o radioterapia, pero también a sensaciones como desesperanza, ansiedad e incertidumbre. En el caso que vamos a tratar, estas sensaciones están originadas por la percepción de una atención sanitaria deficiente en cuestiones como asesoramiento frente a la enfermedad y apoyo psicológico y emocional. La finalidad de este proyecto es asistir al afrontamiento del paciente ante el proceso de su enfermedad y de su tratamiento desde una serie de intervenciones que engloban aspectos como la relajación, el ejercicio físico y el soporte emocional, además de ofrecer información contrastada y veraz para generar un grado óptimo de confianza entre el paciente y el equipo sanitario.

[EN] Hodgkin’s disease is a kind of cancer that affects the lymphatic system. People who suffer from this disease face agressive treatments such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy, but they also face such feelings as despair, anxiety and uncertainty. In the case that is going to be dealt with, these feelings are caused by the perception of a deficient healthcare in matters like advice towards the disease and psychological and emotional support. The aim of this project is helping the patient cope with the process of his disease and treatment by means of a series of interventions concerning aspects like relaxation, physical exercise and emotional support, other than offering verified and true information to produce an ideal degree of patient – medical staff confidence.
