La igualdad como derecho en España: especial referencia a la situación de las personas con discapacidad en el ámbito laboral

Resumen
En nuestro país la última gran crisis económica ha afectado a distintos colectivos pero especialmente a aquellos que han sido históricamente desfavorecidos como son la mujer, migrantes y personas con discapacidad. Durante décadas, las personas con discapacidad se han encontrado en una continua situación de exclusión con diferentes formas de discriminación. A partir de los años 80, las personas con discapacidad han aumentado su presencia en el ámbito laboral con apoyo de normas estatales y comunitarias para potenciar su inclusión laboral y social. Para su inclusión laboral son necesarias políticas activas de empleo que garanticen el derecho a la Igualdad de oportunidades, evitando toda clase de vulneración de este derecho y conformidad con el Principio de Igualdad reconocido en nuestra Constitución.
In our country the last great economic crisis has affected different groups, but especially those who have been historically disadvantaged, such as women, migrants and people with disabilities. For decades, people with disabilities have found themselves in a continuing situation of exclusión with different forms of discrimination. Since the 1980s, people with disabilities have increased their presence in the work place with the support of state and community standards to enhance their labor and social inclusion. For the inclusion in the labor market, active employment policies are necessary to guarantee the right to equal opportunities, avoiding any kind of violation of this right and in accordance with the Equality Principle recognized in our Constitution.
