Objetive: To know the effectiveness of the sonoelastography at the moment of measuring the possible variations of the muscular hardness after the accomplishment of a program of static stretching and eccentric exercises. Methods: A search was realized bibiliographic on quasiexperimental studies in the databases of Pubmed, CIALH, Scopus, and PEDro using the key words "sonoelastography", "physiotherapy", "muscle". Articles were selected in English, with a limit of 10 years of antiquity. Results: There were obtained a total of 16 potential references and after the reading of the complete document of the articles and to include the criteria of incorporation and exclusion only 7 ensued from interest, in which it is in use as device at the moment of measuring the possible variations of the muscle hardness. Conclusions: The sonoelastomiography is an effective method at the moment of measuring possible variations of the muscle hardness after realising a program of static stretchings and eccentric exercises.
