Given the changes in consumption patterns among young people in Spain, both in terms of age of initiation and frequency, this study aims to review the most commonly used drugs in Spain, focusing on the widespread consumption of alcohol by adolescents and university students and describing it through the phenomenon of binge drinking. It considers that there are risky behaviors that perpetuate this practice and preventive behaviors that have the opposite effect. Furthermore, it seeks to describe the reaction of parents to this phenomenon and the importance they play in its perpetuation during adolescence.
