De Eurípides a la narrativa moderna: algunas claves para entender la tradición clásica en la narrativa moderna

Abstract

El siguiente trabajo trata del análisis de la tragedia de Eurípides titulada Hipólito. Introduciremos al autor así como el género al que pertenece. Indagaremos en la pasión erótica que contiene la obra y su influencia en autores como Fernando de Rojas, con La Celestina, Juan Valera en Pepita Jiménez o Mario Vargas Llosa con Elogio de la Madrastra. También veremos como la obra que relata el mito de Hipólito y Fedra tiene peso en el ámbito de la pintura.This paper analyzes Euripides' tragedy Hippolytus. We will introduce the author and the genre to which it belongs. We will explore the erotic passion contained in the work and its influence on authors such as Fernando de Rojas, with La Celestina, Juan Valera in Pepita Jiménez, and Mario Vargas Llosa with In Praise of the Stepmother. We will also see how the work, which recounts the myth of Hippolytus and Phaedra, has had an impact on the field of painting.
