Myasthenia Gravis is a disease with a relatively low prevalence, affecting about 250 out of 1000000 people. It is an autoimmune pathology that affects the neuromuscular level causing weakness in the affected muscles. The aim of this study was to compile the available information in order to know in detail the physiological and immunological mechanisms that are altered and which give rise to this disease; and also to know what nursing care should be provided to these patients. To do this, we have carried out a bibliographic search in different databases from which we have obtained a series of articles which, after analysing them, we have come to the conclusion that it is an autoimmune disease that is mediated by different types of antibodies in the majority of cases, and is sometimes related to thymoma. In addition, we have seen that the nursing care provided to these patients is focused on meeting the altered needs, administering treatment and health education
