La adolescencia se ha convertido en una de las etapas más difíciles por la que los seres humanos pasamos debido a los grandes cambios biológicos, sociales y psicológicos que presentamos. Estos cambios pueden afectar a nuestra autoestima y generarnos cierto grado de ansiedad ante determinadas situaciones. En este sentido, la revisión sistemática que se ha desarrollado tiene como objetivo analizar la relación que tienen la autoestima y la ansiedad en la adolescencia. La búsqueda de artículos se ha realizado en PubMed, PsycInfo y Medline. Los resultados indican que ambas variables tienen influencia la una en la otra, y que también tanto los factores socioculturales, psicológicos y educativos repercuten en ellas.
Adolescence has become one of the most difficult stages that human beings go through due to the great biological, social and psychological changes that we present. These changes can affect our self-esteem and generate a certain degree of anxiety in certain situations. In this sense, the systematic review that has been developed aims to analyze the relationship between self-esteem and anxiety in adolescence. The search for articles was carried out in PubMed, PsycInfo and Medline. The results indicate that both variables influence each other, and that sociocultural, psychological and educational factors also affect them.
