This bibliographic review analyze the shock wave treatment`s effectiveness in patient diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and compare its effectiveness with others treatment methods. Methods: We conducted a literature search in Pubmed and PEDro`s.We included randomized clinical trials in which the main treatment were the shockwaves and its comparaison with others method treatments. 301 articles were found. The articles were divided into 6 different groups depending on the treatment they were compared with the shock waves; placebo treatment , conservative treatment, autologous plasma treatment, plantar fasciotomy , stretching and shock waves applied in different ways. Conclusion:1. The shock waves are effectives in the plantar fasciitis treatment, 2.there´s not a specific tecnique that it would be more effectivenes or beneficial for itself, 3. More studies are needed with Treatment and Evaluation variables more homogeneous.
