It affects more than 2.5 million young adults in the world. Its symptoms are very disparate and varied, so there are no two patients with identical conditions, although it is equally disabling for anyone who suffers from it. The pharmacology administered in MS is oriented towards prevention in the initial phases and palliative treatment in more advanced phases. Physiotherapy tries to be an adjuvant to pharmacology by offering a rehabilitation treatment based on combined strength, resistance and flexibility exercises that are increasingly proving to be more effective in improving the quality of life in patients with MS.
