MOTIVATION AND COVID-19 IN SECONDARY EDUCATION AND BACHILLERATO: A CASE STUDY

Abstract

[ES]Este estudio intenta analizar cómo la motivación influye en la adquisición de la Competencia Comunicativa. Para ello hemos investigado los tipos de motivación más influyentes en Secundaria y Bachillerato a través de la realización de un cuestionario, después se han sugerido posibles estrategias para mejorar dicha motivación y por último, hemos indagado en las posibles consecuencias del confinamiento en el último trimestre escolar por la pandemia (COVID-19).

[EN]The present study chiefly tries to analyse how motivation influences achievement as regards Communicative Competence. For this, we will first zero in on the most prevailing types of motivation in Secondary Education and Bachillerato through a questionnaire; we will suggest strategies to improve motivation of the sample population and finally we will see if COVID-19 lockdown influenced on students’ motivation.
