The importance of language skills in L2 acquisition

Abstract

Actualmente, la importancia que tienen las cinco destrezas al aprender una segunda lengua es crucial. Este proyecto presenta la complejidad que tiene aprender una destreza e introduce, entre otras cosas, las diferentes fases de cada destreza, algunas técnicas y subhabilidades necesarias para tener éxito al enseñar cada una de ellas y cómo estas destrezas deberían ser evaluadas. Además, con el propósito de ampliar y de este modo estudiar lo adquirido en la parte teórica, se introducirán algunas actividades de cada destreza, y estas actividades servirán de base para decir que la integración de las destrezas es necesaria para ofrecer a los estudiantes una educación completamente exitosa.

Nowadays, the importance that the five language skills have in second language acquisition is critical. This project presents the complexity of learning a skill and introduces, among other things, the different stages of each skill, some techniques and subskills necessary for succeeding in teaching each of them and how these skills should be evaluated. In addition, with the aim of implementing and thus studying what has been acquired in the theoretical part, some activities of each skill will be presented, and these tasks will be our basis to state that the integration of the skills is necessary to provide learners with a completely successful education.
