La fibromialgia se define como una patología que presenta dolor generalizado crónico, con otros síntomas asociados como la fatiga, la depresión… Por ello es una de las enfermedades más complejas de tratar y diagnosticar, también debido a su desconocimiento tanto en el ámbito médico como entre la población. Además, no existe una clasificación oficial ya que su etiología es aún desconocida, que los mecanismos que la producen. El neurofeedback es una técnica relativamente nueva que pretende el dominio de la actividad cerebral mediante retroalimientación.. Con este estudio se revisará la literatura actual sobre esta patología, y como el tratamiento con neurofeedback puede reducir sus síntomas.

For this reason, it is one of the most complex diseases to treat and diagnose, also due to its lack of knowledge both in the medical field and among the population. In addition, there is no official classification since its etiology is still unknown, as well as the mechanisms that produce it. Neurofeedback is a relatively new technique that aims to master brain activity through feedback. With this study, the current literature on this pathology will be reviewed, and how neurofeedback treatment can reduce its symptoms.
