The objective of palliative care is to improve the well-being and quality of life of people suffering from an incurable and/or terminal illness. Currently, a large number of pediatric patients require this type of care and nursing care plays an important role in the child's environment. To investigate this, a bibliographic review has been carried out in different databases (Pubmed, Cinahl, Cuiden Plus, Lilacs and Scielo), in addition to performing a reverse search. After filtering, applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and reviewing the articles obtained, a total of 16 articles related to Pediatric Palliative Care have been selected. According to the results and the little current evidence that exists, it can be said that Pediatric Palliative Care improves the quality of life of children, as well as their families. Nursing staff, despite the important role they assume, lack adequate training and knowledge in the field, and good communication is essential, but there are barriers and deficiencies that make it difficult.
