In this final degree project, an explanation of why it is necessary for sterilization in disabled people to come to an end will be shown. This is very necessary in order to effectively enforce all the fundamental rights contained in treaties that have been ratified by Spain and by the rest of the countries. All these fundamental rights that have been ratified by Spain are based on the principle of equality. All people must be equal before the law and be treated the same, regardless of what they are or where they come from. From this principle, other rights flow such as the right to form a family and to develop their sexuality in the way they choose. In Spain, the abolishment of the decriminalization of forced sterilization has been carried out in the past year 2020.
