El cambio climático ha resultado ser un problema para la salud de una enorme magnitud, siendo una importante amenaza para el siglo XXI. Es una dificultad a nivel mundial que produce acontecimientos devastadores y la comunidad científica coincide en que no solo se está sufriendo un trance meteorológico, sino que se está agilizando con más rapidez de la prevista. La repercusión de la sanidad pública en la tierra ha aumentado significativamente en los últimos 25 años. La salud ambiental es un elemento fundamental de la enfermería de salud pública y comunitaria y ésta sigue siendo excluida de la formación y de la actividad enfermera a escala mundial.
Climate change has turned out to be a health problem of enormous magnitude, being a major threat for the 21st century. It is a worldwide difficulty that produces devastating events and the scientific community agrees that not only it is suffering a weather trance, but it is speeding up faster than expected. The impact of public health on the Earth has increased significantly over the last 25 years. Environmental health is a fundamental element of public and community health nursing and it continues to be excluded from nursing education and activity on a global scale.
