These studies have been aimed to see how much influence this construct in students and teachers. The purpose of our study was to test whether EI relates to different levels of psychological well-being, and to what extent the components of EI predict different dimensions of psychological well once controlled personality factors. To do this, a series of psychological tests were passed to a sample of fifty-two high school teachers, the tests evaluated personality, IE, and psychological wellness. The analysis of results shows a positive relationship between Psychological Wellbeing and dimensions of emotional intelligence. It also was found that part of the dimensions of IE is formed as predictors of the dimensions of psychological well being. These results point to the need to develop the emotional skills of secondary teachers to improve their psychological well-being and consequently improving the quality of education.
