The purpose of this study was to investigate how transformational and ethical leadership affects worker well-being and stress. Also, check if there are gender differences with respect to the previously mentioned variables and if the combination of the two leadership styles increases the benefits in the organizations. Method: The sample is made up of 113 workers, 48 men and 65 women. They filled in a battery of questions on aspects related to work: stress, well-being, family support and leadership styles of their bosses. Results: Transformational leadership does not have a significant relationship with well-being or stress (in both sexes), ethical leadership is related to stress, but does not cushion it and does not have a relationship with well-being, both in men and women. However, the combination of the two creates a heightened effect, and separately they don't seem to do much.
