En la actualidad existe una disminución de la actividad física en edades tempranas,
además de la baja importancia de la autodeterminación en estas edades. A su vez, las personas con Discapacidad Intelectual poseen una menor autodeterminación que las personas sin esta discapacidad. Por lo que, la finalidad de mi Trabajo de Fin de Grado es realizar una unidad didáctica para fomentar en el alumnado con o sin Discapacidad Intelectual la autodeterminación mediante la actividad física. Para conseguir este objetivo es primordial ofrecer una educación en la que se respete las limitaciones, necesidades, intereses y habilidades de cada estudiante.
