Revisión narrativa de las consecuencias del COVID-19 en la salud mental del personal sanitario

Abstract

El principal objetivo del presente trabajo es mostrar las consecuencias del COVID-19 en la salud mental, analizando de forma desglosada, diferentes estratos de la población para ver el impacto de la pandemia en cada uno de ellos, y profundizar en cómo la situación vivida ha afectado al bienestar psicológico de los profesionales sanitarios y cómo esta se va prolongar y afectar a largo plazo. Partiendo de esta premisa, se ha realizado una revisión de los factores que dan explicación al porqué de un mayor desgaste psicológico en este grupo en concreto, intentando entender cuáles son las variables más influyentes, comparando y desglosando las diferentes implicaciones psicológicas que ha tenido. Por último, tras la revisión narrativa del estudio, se presentan las conclusiones que se han obtenido, acerca de la situación de la salud mental derivada de la crisis del SARS-CoV-2.

The main objective of the present work is to show the consequences of COVID-19 on mental health, analyzing in a disaggregated way, different strata of the population to see the impact of the pandemic in each of them, and to deepen in how the situation experienced has affected the psychological well-being of health professionals and how this will be prolonged and affect in the long term. Based on this premise, a review of the factors that explain why there has been a greater psychological burnout in this particular group has been carried out, trying to understand which are the most influential variables, comparing and breaking down the different psychological implications it has had. Finally, after the narrative review of the study, the conclusions obtained about the mental health situation derived from the SARS-CoV-2 crisis are presented.
