Para ello se hace una breve explicación del origen de la crisis financiera española y cómo a partir de ésta se hace necesario un reforzamiento de capital en el sector financiero, dando lugar a que las cajas de ahorros tengan que ser fusionadas o integradas en un banco.[EN] The purpose of this research is to analise how the restructuring of the savings bank sector has been done. Therefore, a brief explanation about the origin of the Spanish financial crisis is given.
