Desde un punto de vista lingüístico se analizan la gramática, la sintaxis, la pronunciación y la ortografía de las variedades para observar las diferencias que hay entre ellas. Desde un punto de vista socio-lingüístico, se analiza la actitud que los hablantes tienen hacia las variedades estándar y las no- estándar, se intentan explicar dichas actitudes y justificar si tienen fundamento lingüístico o no.The essay consists of both a linguistic and a socio-linguistic analysis of some relevant varieties of the English language. From a linguistic point of view, the grammar, syntax, pronunciation and spelling of the varieties are analysed in order to observe the differences between said varieties.
