Resumen
Este trabajo aborda el tema del aprendizaje de la lengua inglesa a través de los cuentos o “storytelling”. Este método es muy motivador para los niños, ya que los cuentos les lleva a historias muy interesantes, mundos maravillosos y criaturas llenas de vida, lo cual crea un ambiente favorable para incitarles a leer cuentos en lengua inglesa y enriquecer su vocabulario. Además, este trabajo incluye aspectos interesantes tales como: la manera de hacer una selección de cuentos para trabajar en el aula, diferentes técnicas de leer un cuento, la importancia de la motivación del alumnado a la hora de leer un cuento, o la influencia de los cuentos en los niños. Al final del trabajo se incluye la propuesta de un proyecto didáctico en el cual podemos encontrar varias actividades relacionadas con diferentes cuentos, las cuales podemos trabajar dentro del aula.
This paper focuses on the learning of English language through tales or “storytelling”. This technique is very motivating for children since tales lead them to interesting stories, fantastic worlds and creatures full of life, which creates a suitable atmosphere in order to incite them to read tales in English language and enrich their vocabulary. Furthermore, the content includes interesting aspects such as: the way the teacher can select among a range of tales, different techniques of reading tales, the importance of pupils´ motivation at time of reading a book, or the influence of tales on children. At the end of the paper, it includes the proposal of a project in which there are several activities related to different tales which we can work in the classroom with.
