This End of Grade work is theoretical and practical research on the saxophone, addressed to the third cycle of primary education. The work has two parts. The first part is devoted to the theoretical section and details various historical, organological and educational aspects of the saxophone (origin, characteristics, manufacturing, education, etc.). The second part is an application on the use of the instrument in the Primary Education classroom as a teaching unit. The main purpose of this paper is to introduce students to the saxophone, the instrument with which I identify and play. I also want to let students know more about one of the main groups in which the saxophone is involved that are not very common in big cities, but quite popular in smaller towns: municipal bands.
