The use of social media has turned into a daily routine for most adolescents. Their main attractiveness and facility to use, build up factors that can generate addiction issues among this particular social group. Therefore, its crucial to know how social media is being used. The program “Libres” targets its main objective in preventing the addiction issues that may uprise from social media use and abuse by adolescent population, whilst also promoting healthy habits towards their correct use. The overall evaluation follows a single quasi experimental methodology, involving a total of two groups: experimental and control. Between the instruments used, we can find the Scale of risk of addiction to social networks and Internet for adolescents, as well as the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. This program aims for positive results, due to its application within the experimental group participants.
