RESALTADO DE MARCAS EN MATERIAL ARQUEOLÓGICO MEDIANTE TÉCNICAS VISUALES Y GEOMÉTRICAS

Abstract

La gran mayoría del material arqueológico presenta un desgaste en la superficie que dificulta la visibilidad de elementos decorativos o marcas que aparecían en el material original. En muchas ocasiones, dichas marcas apenas son perceptibles a simple vista, y por su excesivo desgaste, no son detectadas en los procesos de digitalización 3D. En este TFG se pretende utilizar diferentes técnicas, tanto visuales como geométricas, que permitan identificar y resaltar marcas o elementos de interés en la superficie de objetos arqueológicos escaneados, con o sin textura. Para ello se construirá una herramienta que permita cargar el modelo, orientarlo de forma en que se destaque mejor la marca, y una vez identificada, utilizar técnicas inteligentes para identificar la marca. A continuación, se aplicarán transformaciones geométricas sobre la zona marcada de manera que se realce dicha zona y pueda ser utilizada, por ejemplo, en modelos impresos.The vast majority of archaeological material shows wear on the surface that makes it difficult to see decorative elements or marks that appeared on the original material. This TFG aims to use different techniques, both visual and geometric, that allow identifying and highlighting marks or elements of interest on the surface of scanned archaeological objects, with or without texture. To do this, a tool will be built that allows the model to be loaded, oriented in a way that best highlights the brand, and once identified, use intelligent techniques to identify the brand. Next, geometric transformations will be applied to the marked area so that said area is highlighted and can be used, for example, in printed models.
