Proceso histórico de la integración de España en la Unión Europea

Abstract

El presente trabajo pretende hacer una revisión a la historia reciente de nuestro país desde la óptica histórica y política de su integración a la Comunidad Europea. El objetivo es ofrecer una visión global de los acontecimientos y actuaciones que el Gobierno español hubo de seguir para hacer efectiva su pertenencia y lograr dejar a un lado el ostracismo en el ámbito internacional que lo había caracterizado tras la II Guerra Mundial y superar la situación de autarquía económica vivida en los años cuarenta y cincuenta participando en ese proyecto de integración como miembro de pleno derecho. Para ello se hace un breve recorrido desde las primeras actuaciones dirigidas a la aceptación de su solicitud como estado miembro y el los obstáculos que hubo de solventar en el largo periodo de negociaciones hasta la firma del Tratado de adhesión así como su participación en las Instituciones de la Comunidad

This work aims to review the recent history of our country over the historical and political perspective of its integration into the European Community. The objetive is to provide an overview of events and actions that the Spanish Government had to do to became a membership and leave the ostracized in the international enviroment that it had characterized Spain after the Second World War and get over the economic autarchy situation experienced in the forties and fifties and participate in this project as Full Member. Therefore, a brief review from The First Actions aimed at the acceptance the Application for EU membership and the barriers to entry that our country had to get over about the negotiations until the signing of the Treaty of Accession and its role in the European Institutions
