Abstract

[ES]La problemática de la mujer trabajadora a lo largo del siglo XIX fue el principal motivo de su irrupción en la vida pública, y el preludio del movimiento feminista que más adelante conduciría su larga lucha por la igualdad jurídica. Lo que se ha pretendido con las diferentes leyes llevadas a cabo es, equiparar el trato de la mujer al hombre en lo que se refiere al ámbito laboral. Debido a la participación de las mujeres en el mercado laboral igualando en cifras a los hombres, se ha producido la necesidad de compatibilizar el ámbito laboral y familiar. El estudio pretende analizar el origen y observar la situación actual en España en materia de conciliación. Palabras clave: Igualdad, empleo, mercado laboral, conciliación.

[EN]The problem of working women throughout the nineteenth century was the main reason for their emergence into public life, and the prelude to the feminist movement that would later lead their long struggle for legal equality. What has been tried with the different laws carried out is to equate the treatment of women with men in relation to the workplace. Due to the participation of women in the labor market, equaling men in numbers, there has been a need to reconcile work and family.
