[EN]The aim of this work is to show the importance that the study of the lexicon has in the classroom and to show a didactic unit designed to supply the deficiency of their presence in primary school. Learning the lexicon, despite being linked to the acquisition of other knowledge, such as grammar, discourse and sociolinguistic (these define the communicative competence of the speaker) it has been relegated to the background and it has been studied in the classroom only at specific times. My personal experience as a primary school pupil and practices teacher reaffirms this idea of the inadequacy of lexical content, given that their learning activities are little varied, little repetitive and little motivating. In order to present an alternative, we show in the second part of the work, a didactic unit with different exercises, where the use of the dictionary develops a fundamental role.
