This project is based on the recognition and vindication of local folklore as an identity element and its need to be transferred to the classrooms. Specifically, we will study the case of Arjona, a municipality in the province of Jaén, with a great folk tradition linked to its patron saint's festivals and in which there is a symbiosis between history, tradition, legend and music. Through an initial research on the popular festivals in general and their music in particular, based on historical documentation and interviews with important people, are studied the Motetes en honor a los Santos Bonoso y Maximiano. This premise guides the conception of a didactic proposal that seeks to link this long musical tradition with the educational environment through a unit inspired by some works and songs performed by this people in a collective way that will become known, expressed and valued by the students of the Primary stage.
